Tingle is the worst

I'm just about finished playing through The Wind Waker for my Zelda feature, and allow me to get something off my chest:

TINGLE, YOU ARE JUST THE WORST CHARACTER.

I mean, he's kind of funny in a sad and pathetic kind of way, but in the Wind Waker, the way that that character stalls you from finishing the game (by making you pay him thousands of rupees so that he can decipher sea charts for you) is so awful. RAAAAAAAGGGE! I think that Nintendo must have known that they had some pretty bad game design on their hands and basically have reverted all the blame onto an annoying, fictional character. Which is smart, but doesn't really make me that much less angry.
