I haven't played a Tomb Raider game in, oh, ten years, but they're trying (again!) to reboot the series. I don't know anything about the game except for this Game Informer cover:
Forget everything I know about Tomb Raider? OK, I guess what they're doing is asking us to remember every grimy third-person shooter ever. I would like to see a series reboot just once go in the opposite direction: give us the most over-the-top, ridiculous, outlandish version of the series you can. Imagine if this new Tomb Raider was in the vein of Sin and Punishment rather than another Uncharted clone and you'll see what I'm getting at.
I wish that more developers would paint in technicolor rainbows rather than "tasteful" brown. Jesus.
