New releases this week:
Monster Hunter Tri. Seriously. That's it. And while it's a massive game that'll take you until the end of time to finish, it's pretty well the only major release this entire month. From a stressed out game reviewer, I say to the industry: THANK. GOD.
Still, I am planning on playing it. And it comes with the Classic Controller Pro, which, from all accounts, is one of the finest gamepads ever created. I'm pretty pumped.
PUPPY HUGS ACTIVATE!
Capcom finally (finally!) announced today that they're going to localize Okamiden, the DS sequel to Okami. It's coming out in 2011. While I'm amongst the biggest fans of Okami on the planet, there's a little bit of trepidation here – are they just going to be rehashing the first game, or is this going to be the true sequel to Okami that I've been waiting for? Here's hoping it's the latter.
In any case, the game has the absolute cutest protagonist in gaming EVER.
Stop-motion animation
Christian linked me to this amazing video of NES characters recreated in stop-motion animation using beads, which got me to thinking about other stop-motion favourites of mine. Check 'em out below.
And though this isn't stop motion, it is cool anyways:
